Wedding Mark and Lindsay
Mark and Lindsay traveled all the way from Ireland to celebrate their wedding in the Eternal City. In preparation for this perfect day, the two came to Rome a couple of times to view various locations.
Mark and Lindsay found an absolutely stunning 5 star luxury hotel located in Piazza della Repubblica, with a terrace that overlooked the city…it was a venue fit for a fairytale! The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful Church full of murals and ornate architecture. Outside was a nice courtyard in a central Rome pedestrian square. The priest marrying the couple was funny, which made the day even more enjoyable!
Mark and Lindsay spent a lot of time making their Mass booklets and hand picking the readings, giving the ceremony a personal touch! The church music consisted of a string duo and soprano, who sung a moving rendition of Ave Maria. The bridal party was quite lovely–the three bridesmaids wore aqua blue dresses with silver beaded embroidering, while Lindsay looked radiant in her white, floral-patterned laced dress with a sheer white veil trailing behind. Each girl held a bouquet of white roses made by Lindsay’s mother, which complimented the shabby chic theme of the wedding very well!
The celebrations after the wedding made for a night to remember! Mark and Lindsay’s guests enjoyed a jazz trio with a female singer followed by an entertaining DJ after dinner. What could be better than an open bar with lots of drinks and fun! From the seating to the tablecloths to the drapery, there were white decorations all around which looked beautiful next to the rose bouquets! It was evident how much thoughtful planning when into the cute details, including the lights, decorative hearts, guest book, candles, and petals. Each table had an exquisite centerpiece with candelabras and pastel flowers, which gave a romantic ambiance to the tented terrace.
The rooftop of the 5 star hotel in the heart of Rome had a crystal clear pool and a wonderful view that they will surely never forget! There were more than 80 guests there to help Mark and Lindsay celebrate the big day; her daughter and his son were there too, which made it even more special! All of the photos throughout the ceremony and party exude happiness and love. The festivities did not end with the wedding, as they also had a dinner the day after at a typical winery. Lindsay and Mark, as well as all of those who came to Rome to celebrate, created lasting memories!
