Wedding Francesca and Sheldon
I still remember Francesca and Sheldon’s request: they asked us for a simple wedding in an historic medieval church. Francesca stated in her request “desperate for help!” I was thrilled to be able to help a couple who seemed to be in trouble and “stuck”!
Finding the right church and reception venue was exciting. They wanted a place with history but one that was not too grand. They wanted for a peaceful relaxed location not too formal and close to the church. Well, we in fact did find it!
A lovely small castle, just outside Rome, with a chapel and gorgeous views. I still remember when I took Francesca and Sheldon to view the location: Sheldon words were: “Sarah thank you so much…this place is incredible”. I was almost in tears…I am as happy as the couple are when their dream comes true!
Francesca and Sheldon, two classy teachers. This lovely couple, one from England and the other from Canada with their sweet daughter, celebrated their wedding and reception here! Sheldon’s father performed the Protestant blessing at the outdoor chapel accompanied by beautiful music played by a guitar, mandolin and bass trio. Classic and traditional Italian music was played all day long. Francesca’s daughter enjoyed it very much!
Family and friends hailed from Brazil, Canada and England to celebrate with Francesca and Sheldon. It was a typical sunny Roman day with a lovely breeze.
Francesca picked an orange-purple color scheme. Sheldon’s coral tie, matched Francesca’s bouquet composed of purple and white freesias (A favorite of Francesca’s mother) and coral tulips. Purple Delphiniums with coral Gerbera, adorned the chapel, it was just beautiful. At the end of the ceremony lots of rose petals were showered on the newlyweds to congratulate them.
What a pleasure it was to plan and share these special moments with Francesca and Sheldon!
