Wedding Elizabeth and Andrea
It was an absolute pleasure to plan a perfect day for our beautiful couple, Elizabeth and Andrea. Not only is Rome a wonderful destination to visit, but for Andrea, traveling to Italy for this wedding meant coming back to his own Italian roots! The entire day was filled with laughter, smiles, and even tears of joy, as family and friends celebrated the couple’s new life together.
Elizabeth wore a beautiful white dress, ballerina-like flats, and gorgeous diamond earrings, which were highlighted by her upswept hair style. Her bridesmaids dressed elegantly in all black, and carried bouquets of pretty anemone flowers. It was quite a stunning bridal party! The groomsmen of course looked handsome as well in their suites and bow ties. When they were all finished getting ready, they walked to the church which was conveniently located right around the corner.
Elizabeth and Andrea chose the basilica of Santi Cosma e Damiano as the location for the ceremony. Situated partly in the Roman Forum, this church is the perfect combination of history and beauty. The entire church is adorned with detailed and colorful mosaics as well as fresco paintings. Above the altar is a stunning apse mosaic, which became the backdrop for the ceremony…one can imagine how breathtaking it all looked! It was a very touching ceremony, especially as the couple exchanged flower crowns. There was also a soprano and a violinist in the church which added to the loveliness of the wedding.
After the ceremony there was a photo shoot inside the Roman Forums with groomsmen and bridesmaids, pictures that will last a lifetime! Afterwards, guests enjoyed jazz, good food, and even greater company at the reception. Red rose centerpieces accented the tables that guests gathered around. There were many touching moments—such as the couple’s first dance and the tradition of cutting the cake. It was truly a night to remember. Cheers to a future of happiness and love, Elizabeth and Andrea!
